Pre-wedding dinner

Sharon and Tim tied the knot this past weekend. We had so many relatives that came in town to celebrate their wedding and I had the honor to host dinner two days before the big day. The preparation was a bit hectic because I have to do all the cooking but luckily I have the best Sous Chef in town :) and at the same time, the preparation would not have been successful if I didn’t have any help from my friend Anne. When I was unsure about an ingredient and or when I needed additional information on a dish, she was always available to pick up my calls.

I’ve always wanted to do a Thai dinner and thought it was a perfect opportunity to cook Thai food for our guests. I knew it’s not an easy task but I was up for the challenge and I just love Thai food so much that I’m willing to do all the work. So I came up with this…

Menu
Tom Yum Soup
Satay Chicken with Peanut Sauce
Garlic Pork with Lemon grass
Red curry Chicken
Thai Noodles
Mixed Vegetables
Deserts

The dinner turned out very well. I received compliments from Aunties, Uncles, cousins, siblings and parents (ok...so that's pretty much everyone that came) lol :) i'm just happy that they had a good time and they enjoy the food we prepared for them. Their compliments just made it all worth it for me.

I'm looking forward to hosting another dinner party. I'll try to come up with something different. So, stay tune….
