Tatlongpo't dalawa

1 bottle of wine
3 cakes
4 email b-day messages
5 text messages
6 b-day cards received
8 friends came over for dinner
9 greetings posted on my face book wall
12 stems of pink roses
13 people called by phone
32 living years
but who's counting??? *grin*

I feel special *happy smile* and so blessed and thankful that I'm surrounded with people I care on my big day.

I spent my early morning playing and chatting with Jon and Tyler before heading to work. They are so precious and I'm just happy knowing that they're there close to me. Then when I got to work, I was surprised to see a Chocolate Oreo cake and greeting cards from my boss and co workers. They really didn't have to but it was a really nice gesture. My friend Wendy also baked me her famous and my favorite Swiss roll.

After work, Jon had invited my friends over for dinner to celebrate my birthday. I was pleasantly surprise that he offered to prepare everything. We had lasagna, spinach ravioli with chicken, broccoli salad and garlic bread (courtesy of Costco). It was really nice.

This was suppose to be a wedding cake for my final cake class but I have to miss the class because I had to work late. So, I kept it for my birthday instead. I change the design so it would not look like a hat or a wedding cake. I bake the chocolate cake from scratch, recipe from Confetti cake book. The cake was ok, but the buttercream filling was pretty good.
