After a very long day at work, I wanted to bake a cake that will have hydrangeas on it except I didn't have the energy to do it. Instead I found the courange to open a bag of gum paste (I bought for our next cake class) which I've never played with before. I was not surprise to find out that the dough is almost the same as the fondant. I started making little flowers and by the time I was done, I made over 250 pieces of small flowers. yup! lots of little flowers. Here's the cake I wanted to make (from Confetti Cake), hopefully mine will turn out as pretty as this one. I am looking forward to see the end result.

Are you serious? 250? Nice work.
wow, that is a lot of flower pieces! i can't wait to see the cake.
i hope you don't use real hydrangeas, as they are poisonous. we found this out when we wanted them on our wedding cake. :P
Did you make that cake in the picture? You are really good!
