As soon as we got home from dinner tonight, I put together the cake that I bake for my friend's mom's retirement celebration tomorrow. I've been looking forward to this day to make this cake. I couldn't wait to put all the little flowers I made last Tuesday and I really wanted to try draping the fondant on the cake by myself. Well as it turns out, this is not as easy as I thought it would be. Patience is what I needed tonight...I feel that my patience was being tested, those cute little flowers I made couple days ago? well they did not stick to the fondant fast enough and they are not as cute anymore.... It got me worried that what I'm doing might not work out. Then I figure that I just need a little determination... you know, to complete the cake, but even that was hard to do . And then there are moments that I feel like I'm losing self confidence to do this. What if they dont like it? what if the cake does not taste good? what if those little flowers fall? ahhh the what if's...it's just never ending.
Even with the slight bumps in the process, I manage to finish the cake...I had fun making it and as a second cake? not bad...

Thanks guys! I baked the vanilla cake that we all like :) I put triple chocolate chip fudge for filling. You have to try it, it's yummy.
